Figure As Story

Figure As Story: An Afternoon of Writing About Art
Saturday, May 10, 3-4:30 pm
$10 Donation

In looking at art, we often find the elements of a good story: character, plot, message. Artists selected to participate in our Figure As Story exhibition, were asked to provide the story behind their work, choosing to describe their inspiration, plot or the atmosphere they intended to create. This afternoon event will explore the idea that every work of art can tell a story.  Participants will choose an artwork from the exhibition, spend 20 minutes writing about it, and then share their story with the group.  Bring a notebook, a writing tool, or a tablet.  We hope you will join us for a fun and engaging afternoon of writing about and looking at art.
