Ways to Give

Donor-Advised Funds, IRA & Estate Gifts

Supporting the arts can also be a smart financial decision. Many donors choose tax-advantaged giving methods that allow them to make a lasting impact while maximizing charitable benefits.

The Petaluma Arts Center welcomes gifts through Donor-Advised Funds, IRA distributions, securities transfers, and estate planning.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

IRA Charitable Gifts (Qualified Charitable Distributions)

If you are age 70½ or older, you may make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA.

Benefits may include:

  • Up to $100,000 annually in tax-free charitable giving

  • Possible satisfaction of Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)

  • No federal income tax on the transferred amount

Tip: This tax savings is especially valuable to donors who are non-itemizers and donors who have reached their limit on itemized charitable deductions.

You can use up to $55,000 (the 2026 limit) from your IRA to fund one or more gift annuities.

Please instruct your IRA administrator to send distributions directly to the Petaluma Arts Center.
